How ideas define our lives
Everything around us started out as an idea. It was a vision of how things should be a desire to create something ideal. The idea then went from a concept to a rough reality, then refined and sculpted to a final result all in our mind before it was sketched out on paper.
Our lives are designed in the same fashion, they all start with an idea; a vision. The vision is crafted, refined and further sculpted. The moment there is clarity our lives start striving to achieve that vision, everything we do works in harmony to make it a reality.
Our view of the past and present plays a vital role on what kind of future we create. When we have a positive view of the past and an effective view of the present our subconscious becomes the compass guiding us to our dreams.
Our thoughts and feelings today determine our future. The future is a reflection of our current philosophy and our attitude.

Constructing a better future
An emotional alchemy happens when we design a future, set specific goals with an objective in mind. As we have clarity of what the future will be we begin to experience the thrill of the day when that dream will be a reality, tuning into the vision inspires us to achieve higher levels. The inspiration permeates all facets of our lives, our attitude, our conversations, and relationships. As the excitement grows so does our ability to devise new disciplines and hone our unique philosophy, in other words, we emulate our vision, we become the person we must be to realize our dream.
If we merge the experiences of the past with enthusiasm of the future, they become the instrument we can use today. Our vision is the guide for our present efforts and makes shaping a better future a certainty. Experiences and inspiration become a powerful force in designing a better future.
The initial scrambled message which gave birth to an idea that was refined to form the vision is a formidable force. A better future has a price which requires effort, discipline and consistency.
The price for a better future does not seem steep when the promise to realize it becomes crystal clear. If we lack desire, it is likely we lose the drive and regress to where we started.
At this point, we need to ask questions:
- If we are sincere about wanting a better life?
- Are we making the effort to make it a reality?
- Is it clear in mind and heart to propel us out of bed every morning and keep us up late at night?
- Are we zeroed in on the target that we can overcome any obstacle and setback?
- Are we prepared to take on any challenge that comes our way?
There is no place for a casual approach to a better life. A casual approach is akin to a wish; wishes are a self-delusion. It is a narcotic that dulls awareness and lulls us into a false sense of achievement. The plan can be so precise that the idea of it makes it an obsession. The obsession then can be the rocket fuel that impels us to whole new future. The idea provides us with the renewed determination to move forward and the faith that we can achieve anything.
